元音组合 Vowel Teams
口诀：When two vowels go walking, the first one does the talking. "两个元音并肩走，第一个说话（发自己的字母名），第二个不出声。"
这个口诀适用于大多数情况，但也有例外。

| ee | /iː/（长 e） | see, tree, bee, feet, sleep |
| ea | /iː/（多数） | tea, sea, read, meat, leaf |
| ie | /aɪ/ 或 /iː/ | pie, tie / field, chief |
| oa | /oʊ/（长 o） | boat, coat, road, soap |
| ow | /oʊ/（词尾多见） | snow, blow, slow, grow |
| ue | /juː/ 或 /uː/ | blue, glue, true |
小规则
- ai 多在词中，ay 多在词尾（rain / day）
- oa 多在词中，ow 多在词尾（boat / snow）
